Release Notes

A dated record of customer-facing GLYPH releases, newest first. Each entry is derived from the release announcement sent to customers by Glyph Updates, and its date is the date that announcement was sent. For questions or audit requests, contact support@sentriqs.com.

Change types: New, Changed, Improved, Fixed, Security, Removed, Internal. A change with no platform in parentheses applies to all platforms.

2026-10: Guest meetings and invitation management​

  • Platforms: Web and mobile
  • Action required: None stated in the announcement

Changes:

  • New, Security: Guests can join a meeting through a streamlined flow without being granted a guest membership to the workspace (web and mobile).
  • New: Administrators can view pending and past invitations alongside the member list, with filtering.
  • Changed: Invitations are archived instead of permanently deleted, keeping a record of who was invited and when.
  • New: Clicking an image in a conversation opens a full-screen viewer with navigation between images.
  • Improved: Groups with unread messages are highlighted in blue in the sidebar.
  • Improved: Conversations show a loading placeholder instead of a blank screen while content loads.
  • Improved (mobile): Meeting and huddle links shared in messages open directly in the GLYPH app.
  • Improved: Adding a new device to a group follows a single, unified flow, with clearer prompts while keys transfer from the existing device.
  • Improved: Account profile editing has clearer messaging and better error handling.
  • Improved (mobile): Quicker, more reliable onboarding and setup, with polish to sign-in and dark mode.
  • Internal: Groundwork for the upcoming GLYPH developer platform. No customer-facing change yet.

2026-09-14: Mobile browser retirement and new onboarding​

  • Platforms: Web, iOS, Android
  • Action required: Users who opened GLYPH in a mobile browser must use the iOS or Android app instead

Changes:

  • Removed, Security: GLYPH is no longer supported in the mobile browser. Opening it there prompts you to download the iOS or Android app.
  • New: A new onboarding experience, with training cards and information artifacts that explain GLYPH's security benefits to new users.
  • Fixed: A set of customer-reported bug fixes. The announcement did not itemize them.

2026-09-01: iOS app update​

  • Platforms: iOS
  • Action required: Recommended: update from the App Store

Changes:

  • Changed (iOS): New app icon.
  • Improved (iOS): Answering or declining a call on one device stops it ringing on your other devices.
  • Improved (iOS): Tapping a message notification opens that conversation directly.
  • Improved (iOS): Streamlined new device setup flow.
  • Fixed (iOS): The file share sheet displays correctly in landscape orientation.
  • Improved (iOS): Unread message and reply badges are tracked and displayed more accurately.
  • Improved (iOS): Faster app launch and better stability.

2026-08-03: G3 interface refresh​

  • Platforms: Web, iOS (Android not yet available)
  • Action required: iOS users must update from the App Store. None for web users.

Changes:

  • Changed: Full refresh of the interface with faster navigation and cleaner layouts.
  • New: Training cards: in-app guidance for new users.
  • New: Starting a DM automatically selects participants' most recent devices.
  • New: Filtering of the conversation list by group and DM.
  • New: A side drawer with conversation details and actions.
  • Changed: Settings consolidated into a single redesigned modal, including workspace profile and account details.
  • Changed: Refreshed notification and message sounds.
  • New (iOS): A floating plus button to start a meeting, DM, or group from any screen.

2026-07-13: New meeting layout​

  • Platforms: Web, iOS, Android
  • Action required: iOS and Android users must update the app to make calls or join meetings. None for web users.

Changes:

  • Changed: Redesigned calling and meeting interface.
  • New: In-meeting emoji reactions.
  • Improved: Expanded video effect selection.
  • Security: Security enhancements to calling and meetings. The announcement did not itemize them; contact support for details.
